What is a stock index?

Indexes are financial assets that weight the market capitalization of several companies in a given sector or economic region. Among the best known we find the S&P 500 ; the NASDAQ  or the Dow Jones

What is an index CFD?

CFDs (Contracts for Difference), are an investment instrument, spot derivative, without maturity that works on the basis of transactions on the prices of an underlying asset. In this case, if we invest in index CFDs, the objective will be to predict a rise or fall in the price of the shares of the index.

Australia 200 Spot Index

Australia 200 is a capitalization-weighted, float-adjusted index composed of the 200 largest Australian companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The index is calculated in such a way that it only tracks changes in the price of the underlying securities and does not change in their market capitalization

Belgium 20 Spot Index

The Belgium20 is a capitalization-weighted stock market index comprising the twenty most liquid and best capitalized stocks listed on the Brussels Stock Exchange.

China A50 Spot Index 

The China A50 Index is a free-floating adjusted benchmark index composed of the 50 largest stocks traded on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges.

Europe50 Spot Index

The Euro 50 is a benchmark index composed of 50 of the largest and most liquid stocks traded within the Eurozone. The companies included in the index come from 12 different countries in Europe.

The IBEX35 is the main benchmark stock market index in Spain on the Madrid Stock Exchange. It is weighted by market capitalization and the companies included are reviewed semi-annually.

Swiss20 Spot Index

The Swiss20 is an index of the twenty largest and most liquid stocks traded in Switzerland. The stocks that enter Swiss20 represent about 90% of the market capitalization of all Swiss and Liechtenstein entities listed on the SIX Swiss exchange.

Portugal20 Spot Index

The Portugal20 is a benchmark stock market index of companies listed on Euronext Lisbon, Portugal’s main stock exchange. The index consists of the 20 largest companies, based on market capitalization.

Poland20 Spot Index

The Poland20 is a modified capitalization-weighted stock market index featuring 20 of the largest companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Norway25 Spot Index

The Norway25 Index, or OBX, is a stock market index that tracks the performance of the 25 most actively traded stocks on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The list is re-evaluated twice a year and, as of September 2014, included 26 companies.

Denmark 20 Spot Index

Part of the Nasdaq OMX Group is a market-weighted price index comprising 20 of the most popular stocks traded on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Shipping giant Mærsk and the internationally recognized Carlsberg brand are 2 of the companies included in the index.

Finland25 (Helsinki 25) Spot Index

The Finland25, or OMX Helsinki 25 as it is also known, is a modified capitalisation-weighted stock index that tracks the performance of 25 of the largest stocks traded on the Helsinki Stock Exchange

Sweden30 Spot Index

The Sweden30, or OMXS30 as it is also known, is a capitalization-weighted index composed of the 30 largest stocks traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. It includes globally recognized companies such as Electrolux, Ericsson and Volvo.

Nordic40 Spot Index

The Nordic40 benchmark index, also known as OMNX40, is a market value-weighted index that tracks the performance of the 40 most popular stocks listed in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. Despite its name, the index does not include companies from Norway and currently does not include Icelandic companies either.

Germany50 Mid Cap Spot Index

The Germany50 is a market-weighted benchmark index of the 50 largest German companies that rank below the 30 companies included in the DAX index. The index excludes companies in the technology sector and includes several well-known companies such as Hugo Boss and Airbus SE.

GerTech30 Index

The GerTech30 stock index, or TecDAX, is a benchmark index that tracks the performance of the 30 largest technology stocks in Germany. Its constituent companies are mid-caps and the index as a whole has a market capitalization in excess of €10 billion.

 

Germany30 Spot Index

The Germany30, or DAX, is a benchmark stock index comprising 30 of the largest German companies listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The index includes leading companies in their sectors such as Adidas, BMW, Bayer and Deutsche Bank, to name a few.

UK Mid 250 Spot Index

The UKFTSE is a stock market index consisting of the 101st to 350th largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.

UK 100 Spot Index

UK100 is an index of the 100 largest capitalization UK companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.

US 30 Spot Index

Index of the top 30 Wall Street stocks. The US30 is one of the most recognized stock indexes in the world.

US SPX 500 Spot Index

The S&P500 is a stock market index that groups the 500 US stocks with the largest market capitalizations.

USNASDAQ 100 (NDX) Spot Index 

The US-Tech100, also known as the Nasdaq100, is a capitalization-weighted index modified to minimize the influence that larger companies can exert on the index as a whole. It is composed of 100 of the largest and most liquid U.S. companies, excluding those in the financial sector.
